For this drawing Ayrton developed the theme of his Maze Heads series of 1964-65. Rather than viewing the inside of the head as a metaphor for the complexities of a maze, Ayrton experimented with skeletal inter-penetrating heads, resulting in this fantastic signed, titled and dated pencil drawing.
